Collection: Dark Roasts

Dark roasts range in color from medium-dark brown to almost black.  The beans are oily because they are roasted long enough to bring the coffee oils to the surface.  Single origin darks are roasted to have the distinctive "cooked" flavor and still retain some of the original qualities of the coffee.  Dark blends such as French roast are blends of coffees carefully chosen and roasted to achieve the desired flavor.
